Done entirely in Photoshop 5. I think this was my last piece to be done in PS, as I now use the GIMP for most of my work. This is from my pure painting phase. At that time (about a year ago), I was trying really hard to get my colors down without any sort of lineart muddling them up. In the end I actually prefer having some harder lines to help define images, but I'm really happy with the way this one turned out, even without any strong lines.
The name "Mitayo" has a story behind it too. I was talking to one of my Japanese friends about it on MSN, and in Japanese I wanted to write "mitayo" (literally, "look at this!") when I sent it to her. But I forgot to switch the characer input and I thought that the roman characters looked so nice that I'd just make that her name ^^.
Pretty cool, you're face is alot stronger, but your drapery and hands are still in need of refinement. Your shading feels a bit inconsistant in places. You either need to steady your hand, turn down your tablet sensitivity or stop working with such small brushes.
