I think this is what, the very first non-colored image I've uploaded to my account?
I did this a few days ago as a break from all of the work I've been doing on my game. It's good to just sit down and do something realistic-ish every now and then.
Not drawn from any reference in particular, but I did have a JCPenny catalog out to help keep proportions in general correct.
This looks very nice, I like the simple, sketchy style.
As for advanced criticism...I don't really know anything about realism, but I think her neck looks a little bit long. Could just be her clothes however, as its very high collared. But like I say I wouldn't really know where to begin critcising realism
I like her expression and the shadow on her face. Also her hair looks lovely, it looks like it would be very soft
All in all, very pretty, especially for something so simply done ^^
You're one to really talk about "long time no see".
Good to see you again Goldy, I see you have a domain name now. I'll have to bookmark it for future lurkage. drop me a line, I've got to get back to my motion graphics work.
Haha, I meant that litereally, as in, "I haven't seen you in a long time". Didn't mean to imply that it was anybody's fault at all (although I am most definitely to blame).
Speaking of not seeing somebody for a long time, nice to see you too! I've actually got a knick-knack for you that I brought back from my latest trip to JP. It's been sitting on my desk waiting for me to get off my butt and figure out where you're living now.
Well I'm still down in Savannah, currently enrolled in my final year of Broadcast design and putting together a portfolio/demo reel to send out and land myself a job. I've ended up getting shuffled around a bit when I moved off campus, but overall I can say it's been an improvement over living in the dorms. I've become a bit of a scooter/motorcycle buff since we last met and my collection of art supplies is becoming too large to manage properly. Other than that, I think it's been pretty much 'business as usual' for me. How about you?

I think you are quite right about the neck. Now that you mention it it does look like her neck connects kinda far down on her torso. Good catch.
Thanks for taking the time to crit so well
